Remembrance 2025

ree

On Friday 7th November 2025 we will once again have the great honour and privilege of singing at the always poignant Lloyd's of London Remembrance ceremony, at 11am. Please note that you will need a Lloyd's Pass or a pre-arranged visitor's pass to attend. If you need a visitor's pass, please contact Lloyd's of London direct.

We will be performing a moving new work by Ian Brentnall, Shall It Be So Again? Alongside his 45- year career as a Treaty Reinsurance Broker in the London Market, Ian developed his musical skills as a singer, choral conductor, organist and composer since growing up as a teenager in Orpington, Kent. He has sung on the professional stage with the London Opera Players, held Director of Music posts at several churches in the South East London area and has created a catalogue of nearly 70 compositions, including commissions and works published by OUP and Banks of York.  Ian has been a member of Lloyd's Choir for nearly 25 years, an association which he continues to enjoy enthusiastically. It is particularly fitting that the piece we are performing at the Lloyd's of London Remembrance event has been written by someone with such a close connection to Lloyd's and the London insurance market.

The Lloyd's of London event will be followed by the Royal British Legion Remembrance service at St Katharine Cree, Leadenhall Street.
