Lloyd’s Choir gave its first concert on Saturday 9th December 1922. We devoted our 2022-2023 season to our centenary celebrations. Our Autumn concert on Tuesday 4 October 2022 featured an arrangement of The Drunken Sailor by our founder-conductor, Geoffrey Toye. The highlight of our Centenary celebrations was a gala concert on the evening of Thursday 8th December 2022 at the Merchant Taylors’ Hall, which was outstanding. Just before Christmas we sang carols at the Royal Exchange - the site of our very first concert in 1922. Our postponed world premiere of Jacques’s Creation took place at our Spring Concert on 23 March 2023, which was extremely meaningful for us for many reasons, and a very fitting way to continue our celebrations. We closed that special season with a concert in the summer, 6 July 2023 at our home church St Katherine Cree.
