What a full and exciting Christmas season!
We sang carols at the Red Cross Christmas Market, at the Guildhall, on 27th November. This was a really fun City event and in support of a great cause.
We were delighted to sing at the Mission to Seafarers carol service on 5th December, at the Insurance Institute carol service on 13th December, and the Little Ship Club carol service on 19th December.
At lunchtime on 13th December we filled the Royal Exchange with the sound of carols - especially meaningful for us as this was the venue for our first ever concert just over 100 years ago!
We were at Lloyd's of London again on 12th December, singing carols at the Rostrum. It is always a treat to hear favourite Christmas carols in the amazing acoustic of this unique building.
But best of all was our main Christmas Concert on Thursday 14th December, at which our fantastic audience completely filled St Katharine Cree church! We performed a lovely mixture of Christmas music old and new, including a Ukrainian carol and brand new pieces by Ian Brentnall and Jacques Cohen, our Musical Director. We were thrilled to have Meridian Brass as guests, who gave us some wonderfully festive arrangements of carols. Many thanks as always to Colin Spinks who accompanied us on the organ. And special thanks to our kind volunteers who helped with the essential front of house and ticket jobs.
We wish everyone a happy, healthy and peaceful 2024.
